Getting the Cinematic Look into videos : Depth of Field (DOF)
Dear Devotees,
Pamho. Agtsp.
Here's another nice tutorial I found out for After Effects which teaches how to introduce cinematic blur (or depth of field or simply DOF) into a video to make them look professional. This is something which even I've never used in any of the videos made so far.
Although this tutorial is for After Effects, the procedure can be easily replicated in Vegas (Vegas too has a similar masking feature), and we can obtain the same effect even there.
Nevertheless, here's a tutorial for DOF adjustment in Vegas :

Getting the Cinematic Look in videos : Color Correction
Dear Devotees,
Pamho. Agtsp.
A lot of times we wonder as to why our videos look so different from those which are professionally edited? Can we get that professional look in our videos too?
One of the reasons why those videos look so professional is that they use 'Color Correction'
Here's a tutorial in Adobe After Effects to teach us the same.
And here's a similar one for Sony Vegas :

How to cut and join clips without disturbing the whole sequence?
Question : Prabhuji, I want to cut a portion of my video in the middle. I m able to split and delete the middle portion but how to join back the other two end. i cannot drag the one end and join it to the other end because i will have to take care of all the files that are in othe part of the time line.
please help.
Answer : Dear Nijwm Wary Prabhu, if I got your question right, then basically you are in middle of the timeline with all pieces of clips scattered to both the sides of your clip to be cut. Now if you cut a portion of this clip and join the remaining portions, the video sequence will get disturbed. If this is your problem, then you can basically make use of the grouping construct in Vegas. Here's a tutorial that explains about grouping :
